We are still buzzing from the fashion event of the season: London Fashion Week Festival 2018. There were plenty of insta-worthy highlights like Cara Delevinge returning to the catwalk for Christopher Bailey’s final show for Burberry. And front row at Richard Quinn The Queen was snapped chatting with Vogue editor Anna Wintour. But the real excitement for Seoulista Beauty was happening backstage as we celebrated our official UK-wide launch.
Our exciting week began on February 16th in TV3 studios with Jennifer Rock, a.k.a. “The Skin Nerd” on Ireland AM. Jennifer previewed her skin prep techniques using the Seoulista Beauty® Instant Facials. Our Instant Facials were also a big hit with the VIP guests on Sunday, 18th February as part of the goody bags for Cocktails for Conservation. Then it was all go backstage at the Paul Costelloe A/W 2018 show with Jennifer as she helped prep some of fashion’s most fabulous faces. Here’s a rundown of our LFW 2018 highlights…
Preview event on Ireland AM with Jennifer Rock
We are huge fans of skin guru Jennifer Rock her website, The Skin Nerd. Jennifer, a multi-award winning dermal facialist and skin lecturer, has high expectations when it comes to skin products. So we were thrilled to be included in her kit of face prepping products for London Fashion Week. Jennifer previewed her face prep techniques on Ireland AM on February 16th before jetting off to London.
Cocktails For Conservation
On Sunday, February 18th our Instant Facials were quickly snapped up as part of the goody bags at Cocktails for Conservation. The VIP packed after show party, held in Covent Garden’s Iconic Freemasons’ Hall, followed the Fashion for Conservation’s Rainforest Runway. This year’s party and catwalk highlighted the Amazon rainforest, one of the largest biodiversity hotspots in the world. We were delighted to be one of the sponsors for this event, founded by three women who are determined to make a positive impact on the world through conservation-inspired couture.
Seoulista Beauty Backstage at Paul Costello
Then on the morning of Monday 19th February at the Waldorf Hilton, Jennifer Rock was at the centre of London Fashion Week as she hosted a backstage Pop-Up Skin Station at the Paul Costelloe A/W 2018 show. Jennifer helped to prep some of fashion’s most beautiful faces using the Seoulista Beauty® Instant Facial range.
At the Paul Costelloe A/W 2018 Show, makeup artists were tasked with creating ‘fresh dewy skin’.
“Our brief at Paul Costelloe was a healthy-looking, soft-focus skin with minimal makeup and a dewy, iridescent finish. That suits all facets of The Skin Nerd so it wasn’t a toughie for us” -Jennifer Rock
And the Instant Facial sheet masks were perfect for prepping the models. This helped to give them instant hydration and a quick moisture boost before makeup was applied. The results spoke for themselves as the models looked radiant on the catwalk, their skin supple, soft and plump.
And both models and makeup artists commented on how helpful Jennifer’s skin prep was, giving them the perfect base to work with. Models treated included Silke Hajunga, Ishioma and Karolina Latoszewska.
And for the models who didn’t have time to have a Seoulista Beauty Instant Facial sheet mask before the catwalk, Jennifer sent them off with one to use post-show to rejuvenate their skin for the next day.
It was a week we certainly won’t forget in a hurry. Let’s hope to continue with the successes at London Fashion Week as we roll out Seoulista Beauty across the UK. Wish us luck!
